SUPPORT THROUGH GROWING AND CHANGING
Children, Teens & Young Adults
Growing up brings changes in feelings, relationships, responsibilities, and the way we see ourselves. Counseling can offer a steady place for young people to talk, feel understood, and build skills for the challenges they are facing. At Lavender Wellness, we consider each person’s age, development, experiences, and goals.

Support at each stage
Children
A child may have difficulty putting big feelings into words. Families can reach out about worries, changes at home or school, emotional regulation, self-esteem, or concerns about behavior and relationships. Ask which clinicians work with your child’s age group and how their approach fits your child’s needs.
Teens
Adolescence can bring pressure around friendships, school, identity, family relationships, and expectations for the future. Counseling offers room to explore those pressures, ask questions, and work on ways of coping and communicating that feel useful in everyday life.
Young adults
Becoming more independent often means navigating new roles, college or work, relationships, and decisions about the future. We support young adults who are working through anxiety, low mood, stress, grief, self-doubt, or uncertainty about their next steps.
Care that considers the whole person
Our team includes clinicians whose experience with children, teens, and young adults includes anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, self-esteem, and career development. Some clinicians also work with disordered eating and support young people with ADHD or autism. We will help you ask about a clinician’s training, experience, and fit for your concerns.
Clinicians draw on approaches such as person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and psychodynamic counseling, according to their training and the young person’s needs. A trusting relationship, a comfortable pace, and goals developed together help guide the work.
